Hello There,
Let me tell you a little bit about myself.
My is Karla Lizarraga
I was born in Sinaloa Mexico.
I came to the U.S when I was 7 years old and I have been in Arizona ever since.
I discovered my passion for cooking at the early age of 10. It was out of love for my brothers because I wanted to make sure they were eating the food we grew up with after our mother had moved back to Mexico.
I loved being in the kitchen when food was being prepared for large festivities and get togethers (also known as parties), that is a big thing with Hispanic families. I always offered my help because I wanted to learn how to cook natural authentic foods. It took many mistakes but in the end it was all worth it. Some of those led to my own recipes.
I am a mother of 7 children, four boys and three girls, from the ages of 20 to 9 months. As you can imagine I do a Lot of cooking and have to be very savvy when picking the recipes, especially ones that can be eaten more than once and changed up into another meal with leftovers.
I recently found my soul-mate. He also shares the same passion for cooking I have. With him being Caucasian, and myself Mexican we have been totally “BLENDING OUR KITCHEN” for both our families. With that being said I encourage you to follow our cooking journey as we discover new ones, reinvent the existing ones, and continue authentic recipes handed down.
